Remembering the Del Rubio Triplets...

Fred Havens sent me a copy of an obituary for Mily Del Rubio, the last of the Del Rubio Triplets. I remember them well. One day I was driving in West LA and I stopped at a Big restaurant to make a phone call or something. Walking past the dining room I noticed a sign announcing that the Del Rubio Triplets would be performing at dinner time. Intrigued, I returned and watched their show. I was enchanted! They told me they shared a mobile home in the Palos Verdes Trailer Park. I arranged to hire them to play at a baby shower I was planning for Lori and Alan Erenberg, celebrating the birth of their son, Victor. The party was a huge success. The guests included Lori's parents (her mother Cheri and her father "the Accordion King" Milton Mann) Alan's father "the Mattress King" Victor Erenberg, Mario and Anna Bell (my next door neighbors), Tim Leary, Hervé Villechaize, Hal Frederick, Christine Fulbright, Sally Thomas, Loren Paul Caplan and his wife Lori, Lynn Bregman, Seymour Wynn, Alana Cook, Ian Krieger, Rick and Marie Elfman and many more!

Three of Tom's Pieces Have Been Accepted Into The Juried Show At The Hui No'eau

There is a juried art show at the Hui No’eau and the three pieces that I entered have been chosen! The two larger pieces will be displayed outside, Sunrise Sunset 1937 and Adamantium 1940, and the Lamp I call Lucerna 1910 will be displayed inside. The opening will be January 14th and will be juried by Reem Bassous. I’m very excited!
